Red Embedded Consultancy has been serving the digital TV market for over five years. Founded in 2003 by five senior engineers from the digital TV space, the company goal was to form a specialist resource for the industry. The company has deep knowledge across a broad spectrum of technologies ranging from software to hardware manufacturing. Gathering this knowledge and experience together forms a one-stop shop for delivering solutions. The value chain of solutions runs from strategic review to design and development and integration. Although this may be thought of as a pipeline, work may be undertaken as an independent project at any stage. The number of companies served has grown steadily and now includes several major satellite companies. The company has developed an international reputation for technology delivery.
Red Embedded Design has produced several commercial products in the video telephony space. From early work on an analogue videophone for Telecom Italia, through the broadband based BT 100 Videphone the technology has evolved to an STB based product for social communication being marketed by MyJoice in Sweden. The technology is now being incorporated into a telemedicine application as part of a Technology Strategy Board funded Assisted Living Innovation Platform project. It is intended to expand the use of the technology in a range of telecare and telehealth products.
Red Embedded Design retains capabilities in product design, manufacture and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) technologies.
