Call Centres have faced changing legislation and issues with staff in managed Centres unhappy at the different audio levels at which calls were routed through. Legislation specified audio levels outside of which staff could claim against their employers. Red Embedded designed the product required for fitting between the call Centre terminal and the operator headphones. This device was capable of measuring the sound level in the ways specified in the legislation (both instantaneous and measures over time were included in the legislation) and also of damping abrupt changes in sound levels so as maintain a much more constant level of sound for the operator as required by the new legislation and as requested by the operators themselves. Red Embedded were so successful with the first devive produced that the customer requested a second version needed to fit a slightly different Call Centre type.
