System Integration Support

Our Customer, a major US digital broadcaster had developed their own middleware to replace a complex software stack which had previously been bought in from a third party to deliver local hard disk DVR functionality.There was extreme pressure to bring the new software to market because of the additional unique functions made possible and because of the financial savings through avoidance of the third party software. There were time overruns and Red Embedded were brought in to act as System Integration proxy and ensure fast and efficient co-operation between the various parties working on the project. Over a short 3 week period, Red sorted out a long list of problems which were delaying production start. This involved working on subcontractor premises, having daily (or more frequent) calls with our Customer's management, adjudication between the different third parties involved and occasionally direct involvement in the debugging process to avoid delays building to unacceptable levels.
