Our Customer, a major US Broadcaster, had developed their own middleware to replace a complex software stack which had been bought in from a third party to deliver hard disk DVR functionality. There was extreme pressure to bring the new software to market quickly and once launched our Customer had a list of additional required functionality which was not yet implemented. There was a shortage of staff knowledgable enough to support the new software in the field and develop the new functionality. Red Embedded were brought in as part of a multi functional team to implement a number of these new features quickly. We developed the specifications, did the architecture, defined the interfaces, developed the software and did the required test and integration and documentation. Features were brought in to timescale and within fixed price budgets.
