Assisted Living Innovation Platform
Red Embedded Design has obtained support from the Technology Strategy Board's Assisted Living Innovation Platform for development of technology to help medical and carer professionals look after patients and service users in their own home.
RED developed a version of VPTV400 specifically designed for older people and now available on international markets, and aim to make improvements specifically needed for the medical sector. RED have now teamed with Airedale Hospital and others in a consortium which will provide a system to deliver medical services using a Visual Care System. RED's work includes development of specific functionality and features with an emphasis on the needs of patients with long term conditions. Features include zoom, pan and scan, call queuing, security, high quality stills and further improvements to video and audio quality while retaining a low price point. RED will also work on an advanced generation product with new silicon.
