Working Environment
Our Head Office is based in Bradford in the North of England. Costs in this area are relatively low - for housing but also for food, entertainment, travel and the like. We expect our staff to be able to travel and to work when needed on customer premises - and this is just as likely to be overseas as in the UK. In fact we feel that many people learn a lot from this experience as different organisations have different styles and use different tools and approaches to their code and systems. It is important to red Embedded to foster a co-operative rather than coercive culture. We aim to avoid the mistakes of the ''software factory'' and as a result 'big company' rules are banned; staff are expected to be their own boss and flexible working arrangements are actively encouraged.
