Growth
From small beginnings Red Embedded has grown in staff and turnover year on year. Turnover in the year '07/08 was around £3m and head count around 50. The company carries little overhead with the staff consisting mostly of highly qualified engineers. The company is privately owned, by the five founders, and has funded its growth out of cash flow. It has been consistently profitable and has not resorted to debt or venture capital funding. Yorkshire Forward, the Technology Strategy Board and a Government Innovation Grant for work with Universities have supported some projects.
