As we often work on customer premises and integrate into their work processes, national and international travel is part of the job. Close collaboration with a wide range of partner companies will give you exposure to working at the highest levels in a wide variety of industries.

Partners include silicon vendors, conditional access, middleware and operator companies. Much of the work is on cutting edge implementations using System on Chip architectures from the leading silicon vendors. Work undertaken ranges from blue-sky research and technical feasibility studies to design, development and integration projects.

Living in Yorkshire

Our offices are located in Saltaire, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located four miles north of Bradford and a fifteen minute rail journey from Leeds.

For the outdoor enthusiast, Saltaire is well placed to take advantage of the walking and cycling challenges in the surrounding national parks: Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire Moors and Peak District. If retail therapy is more to your liking, Leeds, Harrogate and Bradford are within easy reach where world class shopping, culture and city life can be enjoyed.

Saltaire is located in Airedale. A tourist destination in itself, Airedale has built upon a rich industrial heritage to become a centre of excellence for high technology development and in particular Digital TV with over 650 related jobs within 10 miles of our office. The standard of living is high and the cost of living is low in Yorkshire. There is plenty of high quality property for sale or rent in exciting mill conversions, vibrant urban or beautiful rural settings.

Customer Support Engineer

Red Embedded Systems provide equipment to facilitate the care of individuals in their homes, by enabling them to see and speak to their healthcare professionals. This role involves: preparing and testing equipment for installation; installing in homes, offices and care establishments; troubleshooting at the customer site or over the phone; providing feedback to the development team. The majority of the customers are located in West Yorkshire but some travel within the UK may be necessary, including the occasional overnight stay.

This role requires:

  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Own car (expenses reimbursed).
  • Full driving license (no more than 3 points).
  • A Criminal Records Bureau check to be performed.

Previous experience of face to face customer service and installation of A/V equipment would be an advantage.

Senior Android Integration Consultant (Perm and Contract Roles)

The ideal candidate should have the following skills:

Essential:

  • Good understanding of the layers of the Android platform and how they fit together.
  • Java programming preferably in an android environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming.
  • Strong Debug/problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of video and networking standards
  • Professional Experience of Android, either from an application development or platform porting level.
