Red Embedded Design Ltd the VideoPhone Development and Technical Consulting Company will be at the Texas Instruments' Developers Conference 2008 in Dallas to display their new Wifi handheld IP VideoPhone product and to talk to potential Consulting and Videophone clients.

Redembedded Design Ltd specialise in design and development of VideoPhone and Consumer Electronics audio visual products and also provide a range of consulting services with a hands-on edge. Product designs have evolved around TI's chip set and DSP technology and the current generation of Videophone is powered by the highly acclaimed DaVinci chip and includes a package of additional TI components.

Red Embedded's next generation product, the VPHS400, is a WiFi handheld VideoPhone with a range of entertainment and Internet functionality. The portable product delivers communication and entertainment services within any WiFi enable home. It includes a 7” touch screen with a superb WVGA display resolution, integrated browser with Web 2.0 capability and audio and video streaming capability for both MPEG-2 and H264 MPEG-4 video and for a range of audio CODECs. The product can also be used as an electronic picture display frame. Red are also working on a new Videophone in an STB form factor.

Red Embedded would expect to customise the units to the particular requirements of users or Operators and have this available for market from around mid year 2008.
